Coventry's Cathedral Lanes Cuisine
Restaurants right in the heart of the city
In our last 'Places to eat in Coventry' article we shared with you some great places to tease your taste buds near our furnished holiday let in the Gosford area.
But there's more!
A quick 15 minute walk from Gosford Apartment is Cathedral Lanes, a popular leisure development. Its food quarter is home to a wide variety of restaurants, including Wagamama and Las Iguanas.
Wagamama first opened its doors in Coventry in September 2015, serving Asian food based on Japanese cuisine. The Japanese inspiration extends to the decor as well. Modelled on popular Japanese ramen bars, the long wooden benches and tables give the restaurant a friendly and vibrant feel.
The menu is packed with nourishing noodles and rice, alongside signature katsu curries, ramen and gyoza. For vegan visitors, Wagamama’s menu is 50% plant based, including fishes such as vegan chilli squid and Bang Bang Cauliflower. This wide variety of choice leads to a great dining experience!
Another popular dining option is Las Iguanas. Offering South American cuisine, Las Iguanas is well-known for its mouth-watering meals and energetic atmosphere. The menu is fully inclusive, with vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal options available. From mouth-watering Mexican fajitas to Brazilian favourite camarao de calabaza, Las Iguanas has dishes to please every palate.
Expect a combination of fresh Latin American dishes and exceptional service when visiting Las Iguanas. You’re going to love it!
These are just a couple of the many choices available when it comes to meeting up with friends and family to enjoy the Coventry City Centre Cuisine. With such a diversity of food - catering to all cultures and tastes - you can see why it is UK City of Culture 2021. Best of all, both Wagamama and Las Iguanas are within walking distance of Gosford Apartment. All the more reason to come stay with us!
