Visiting Coventry? Need some ideas for what to do whilst you're in the area? We've got you covered! Read on to find out our top things to do!
Coventry Cathedral
Coventry Cathedral, located right in the city centre, is one mile walk from Gosford Apartments. In the past 1000 years, the city has had three cathedrals, with the modern Coventry Cathedral named for St Michael. A much older part of the Cathedral's structure still remains standing after being bombed in enemy air raids during the Second World War. In the following years, the leaders of the Cathedral Community decided to preserve the ruins of the old Cathedral to serve as a reminder of the waste of war. This contrast between the new and old structures makes the Cathedral a true spectacle. Get your camera at the ready for this excellent photo opportunity! Admission to the cathedral is free, however, donations are warmly welcomed as they go towards maintaining the building.
